Nyonya Chendol @ Jonker Street, Melaka

We tried Nyonya Chendol, Mango Chendol, Coconut Chendol....all with a whole lot of Gula Melaka poured over.

I was surfing around and found the website of Rose : http://roseskitchen.wordpress.com/about/ where she shares her recipes for all types of local (Malaysian/Singaporean) dishes and dessserts.

Cheers

This looks like a dessert. So is Gula Melaka a chocolate sauce?

Gula Melaka is not a chocolate sauce =) is a kind of sugar syrup which made from the extract of the flower bud of coconut tree.

anonymous is right.

Ur experience with this dessert starts with the sweet taste of gula melaka...and then the coconut paste and then coconut flakes...diggin deeper u find crushed ice. After you finish the crushed ice, u will find jelly, red beans etc....

yummm....
