What was served with the dips or what was it meant to be put on? What sort of flavors were in the dips?

We were give bread to eat with the dips.

There were two mashed potato dips, two eggplant ones, one really heavy in garlic (with a mayonnaise conistency), a tomato-based one, and a yoghurt one.

The flavous weren't particularly good, but I can tell you that each dip was quite unique. I don't think I've ever really seen such variety on one platter.
